Advanced Receiving Inspection Technician


This position is in our Whitewater, WI facility. We are seeking an individual with previous experience inspecting electronic components and assemblies, including bare circuit boards. The selected individual will work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to resolve non-conformances and address opportunities for improvement. Our selected team member will be detail orientated with a strong sense of team-orientated problem solving techniques.

Primary Job Tasks and Requirements:

  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Documentation may include (but not limited to) purchase orders, vendor certifications, customer drawings, and custom fabrication drawings.
  • Perform First Article inspections of electronic components, bare PCBs, plastics, metal brackets, wire harnesses and other custom fabrication materials to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
  • Document first article findings and notes: approval, processing, and storage
  • Read and understand a variety of different drawings, from components and bare PCBs, to customer assembly drawings
  • Verify and document dimensions as shown on drawings
  • Identify and document items that do not meet specifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must have ability to use common measurement devices such as calipers, torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, pin gages, and other tools to help identify potential non-conforming material
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Computer knowledge a must (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Minimum of Associates (A.A.) in Electronics , Engineering Technology or related technical degree with two years experience or equivalent training and five years experience.
