Position Description

Vogel Consulting is a leader in the Multi-Family Office (MFO) industry and a licensed investment advisory corporation.  Our Integration-Led Wealth Management business practice brings together all the technical aspects of family and financial management for individuals and/or families of high net worth.  We currently have an opportunity available for as an Investment Analyst in our Brookfield, Wisconsin office.

The Investment Analyst is responsible for the performance of a wide range of investment related research and analytical processes. This position is required to make initial determinations for review by other firm members. The Investment Analyst reports research findings to Vogel's Investment Committee. Responsibilities include Asset Allocations, Manager Analysis, investment policy statement review and various other market related research. The Investment Analyst analyzes financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions. Please note we are NOT an investment firm and this is not a Portfolio Management nor a Stock Analyst position.

The Investment Analyst is responsible for:
  • Strategic and tactical asset allocation
  • Long-only manager selection
  • Private equity due diligence
  • Investment guidance to management
  • Direct interaction with current and prospective clients
  • Interface with third party research company
  • Summarize data describing trends in investment risks and economic influences pertinent to investments.
  • Communicate information to management and follow up regarding assigned projects
  • Participate in decision-making process with the President/CEO and the Investment Committee on said investment vehicles to align those selections with the firm's overall goals and clients’ risk tolerance
  • Ensure that all investment analytics are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing investment research and investment advisory services
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and two to five years related experience and/or training.   Intermediate level of knowledge of  MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required.  Experience working with PerTrac, Advent Axys and InvestorForce experience desirable. 

The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to think creatively, pay attention to details, as well as the ability to work as a team player or individual contributor as warranted in a given situation.  Qualified candidates must possess superior written, verbal & interpersonal skills as well as functional and technical industry knowledge and skills to do the job with a high level of accuracy.  Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment and customer-service orientation are also a must.
